From infrastructure to evidence.

One environment. Four ways to understand it.

01

Detect changes

Spot configuration changes, migrations and failed backups. Find the affected resource and its before-and-after values.

02

Trace what happened

Connect an event to its timestamp, its author when identifiable and the collected evidence. Keep the context for your investigations.

Ask your infrastructure.

The AI assistant helps explain events, investigate issues and prepare remediation steps.

What changed on this VM?

Why did this check fail?

What should I check before making a fix?

Example questions. The assistant is optional, uses data accessible to your account and does not execute fixes.

Understand the assistant’s role

Built for your environments

One collector on your nodes, the history in one console.

  1. Proxmox VEAPIs, logs and observations
  2. Agent on the nodesRead-only collection
  3. ProxTraceSaaS or self-hosted console
  • Read-only, from the cluster to the console
  • No inbound channel to the collector
  • Local queue if the console is unreachable

Administration stays in Proxmox VE. ProxTrace adds history, evidence and issue follow-up.

Frequently asked questions

What is ProxTrace?

ProxTrace is a traceability console for Proxmox VE. It connects changes, enriched inventory, security checks and evidence to help teams understand their infrastructure.

Do I need a Proxmox cluster?

No. ProxTrace can track a cluster or a standalone Proxmox VE host. Checks are evaluated according to the observed scope.

Does ProxTrace replace monitoring?

No. Your monitoring tools track metrics and availability. ProxTrace focuses on changes, evidence and best practices.

Does ProxTrace modify my infrastructure?

Collection is read-only. ProxTrace does not automatically apply fixes to your nodes, VMs or containers.

What does the AI assistant do?

It helps explain events, explore possible causes and prepare useful checks. Decisions and fixes remain under your control.

Is compliance assessment a certification?

No. ProxTrace assesses best practices using collected observations. Missing sources cannot establish compliance.
